Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to address the problems in society caused by excessive alcohol consumption and drug abuse.

We do this through:

  • Faith and prayer
  • Self-denial
  • Good Example
  • Providing and promoting activities in an safe, alcohol-free environment, particularly for young people
  • Advocating the ideals and values of temperance and sobriety in society

Our vision – based on the love in the Heart of Christ, as expressed in the Gospels – is to help to build a society where people live to their full potential and alcohol can be enjoyed in moderation, thereby avoiding the problems that arise in society from

The centre of the Pioneers is the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is from the love of Jesus that we get the compassion to reach out to those who suffer from alcohol-related harm. The Pioneer, like all Christians, is convinced that the love of God, as revealed in Jesus, is central to their lives. Pioneers need to be on fire with that love. Jesus said, “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were blazing already”. Pioneers need to be on fire with the love of Jesus and willing to set the world on fire with that love.
